Laverne M. Kabat

	Laverne M. Kabat, 64, of Waltonville, passed away at 10:10 p.m. Monday, January 15, 2001 at the Friendship Manor in Nashville.
	Laverne was a homemaker and had been a secretary at the Waltonville Grain Co. for 14 years.  She was a member of the St. Charles Catholic Church in DuBois.
	 She was born December 8, 1936 in Perry County, the daughter of Mike and Rose (Nikrant) Prusacki.  She married Arthur Kabat on September 8, 1956 in Washington County and he passed away on January 3, 1996.
	She is survived by one son, Daniel R. Kabat of Waltonville; five daughters, Carol S. Self and husband Billy of Summerville, S.C., Kathy L. Conner and husband Jeff of Ashley, Linda K. Stanfield, and husband Larry of Scheller , Angela M. Kabat of Gainesville, Fla. and Jennifer A. Kabat of Herrin; one sister, Bernice Nowakowski of Tamaroa; three brothers, Ralph Prusacki and wife Dorothy of DuQuoin, Michael R. Prusacki and wife Rosalea of DuQUoin and Leon J. Prusacki and wife Connie of Tamaroa and seven grandchildren.
	She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
	Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Friday, January 19 at the St. Charles Catholic Church in DuBois with Msgr. Melvin Vandeloo officiating.
	Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.  The Rosary was said at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
	Friends may make memorials to the St. Charles Church Renovation Fund or to the American Diabetes Association.
